Levels such as Empire City and Cool Edge are perfect examples of just what a Sonic game can bring with fantastic level design, alternate pathways, shortcuts, and just pure spectacle and magic all around that Sonic is known for. High-speed action is what Sonic does best, and there's tons of that here in his Day stages. Thankfully, none of this is present in the hi-def versions of the game. Why? The levels are a bit bland in the low-res versions, there are many more Werehog stages than Hedgehog stages, and you have to play the same levels over and over with new objectives just to complete the story.
SONIC UNLEASHED SONIC PS2
For some strange reason, the Wii and PS2 versions of this game are looked upon as superior than the former versions.
SONIC UNLEASHED SONIC PS3
When this game was released, it didn't necessarily receive that much positive remark from both critics and fans (at least the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions). Sonic Unleashed is looked upon as one of the lesser titles in its franchise.
SONIC UNLEASHED SONIC FULL
I havent beat this game yet, Im at Eggmanland, but so far its the best Sonic game I have and totally recommend it to others! Read full review In Xbox 360 its more for exploring, talking to people to get missions, longer more challenging levels, harder bosses, more details, personally I think this versions faster and more smooth when moving and theres even two parts were you get to fly the Tornado! I dont know why the wii versions more popular Im guessing its because its Nintendo. They also shortend the levels like when Tails is surrounded by bad guys Sonic just goes through the level and it shows the next cutscene, or the fact that they split Eggmanlands levels.
However, in the cutscene after werehog Sonic defeated Eggman right before dark Gaia if you look in Eggmans egg mobile you can see a dreamcast, dreamcast remote and games, is this in the Xbox version well I have not gotten to that part yet but its still way cool to see! I have also known that in some cutscenes things have been edited by Nintendo, Im guessing to fit more of there game play style. In Sonic unleashed wii version its more mission based and not very much detailed in the levels as much as this version, and its also not as much of a challenge. Im a Sonic gamer and have played lots of Sonic games but this is by far the best, I also played the wii version of Sonic unleashed before I knew about this one and trust me its no were near this. Other familiar characters from the franchise, such as Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose, make appearances in a number of optional mini-games that offer a break from the high-speed action. There are nine game worlds, all designed to resemble real places such as Greece, China, and New York City, and each of the worlds features branching pathways and multiple routes to the finish line.
As always, players collect rings as they reach supersonic levels of speed, making use of the "Quick Step" and "Speed Drift" abilities to avoid obstacles and handle corners without losing momentum. Sonic Unleashed makes use of a new "Hedgehog Engine" designed to give the game an unparalleled sense of speed and provide smooth transitions between the 2D and 3D sections of each daytime level. The cataclysm also brings about an unexpected change in Sonic, and in order to find the lost chaos emeralds and reconnect the world's continents, players must master both his traditional daytime abilities, and the new nighttime abilities of his slower and stronger alter ego Sonic the Werehog. Eggman has caused a catastrophic event that shattered the world into many pieces, and gamers must guide the spiky-haired Sonic on a quest to reunite the planet. Sega's speed-loving mascot returns to foil another evil plot in Sonic Unleashed.
